Places look different after dark. There is mystery, they are usually quieter. I’ve always wanted to use variegated leaf to show the beautiful skies we get here (in Arrowtown, New Zealand) at sunset. The sky becomes so bright it almost looks like its on fire. In this series, I have painted three iconic Arrowtown scenes after dark.
