MEANING:

Relating to or situated on the opposite side of the earth.

Diametrically opposed to.

I have had a shape in my mind for years that perfectly describes many situations in our world. It is a non convex polyhedron. I am calling this shape an Antipodal.

It is the shape of a Czech hedgehog, the static anti-tank obstacle used along beaches yet innocently also the shape of jacks used by children in the classic game.

It describes creation (big bang) and destruction.

If you move the shape around you can see XX (female) and XY (male).

It is order and it is chaos.

These shapes have been beautifully crafted by an expert joiner using oak. It is upon this surface that I paint the meaning of each.
